OEM & legacy bearing numbers: what this catalogue can verify
OEM, National, Fafnir, Torrington, RHP, SNR, McGill, Dodge and other legacy-number searches need an evidenced identifier relationship, not a similar-looking model.

Farm & legacy bearing cross-reference lookup
Search 6,129 source-listed relationships across 77 manufacturers and competing brands. These entries come from the 2017 Timken Fafnir Farm Line Interchange, not from matching similar numbers or dimensions. The arrow means original catalogue number → listed Fafnir reference; it does not promise a reversible or currently approved replacement.
How to use a result
- Match the original manufacturer and complete part number. A bare number can occur under more than one manufacturer.
- Keep the Fafnir suffix and any source qualifier: “Less Snap Ring”, a B/P drawing reference, paired alternatives or a unit description are part of the record.
- Compare the current drawing, component scope, bore shape, ring widths, locking method, seals and application requirements. A housing or complete unit is not automatically interchangeable with a loose insert.
- Confirm whether a current service revision supersedes this historical entry. No machine year, position or operating limit is inferred from the table.
Why more than one answer can appear
The catalogue sometimes lists more than one Fafnir reference against an original number. We keep those entries separate. Ditto marks are expanded only from the preceding entry in the same manufacturer column; that expansion is identified in the evidence cell.
For example, a source reference ending in E8728 is not silently shortened to its base designation. Shared text such as 203 does not establish that 203RR2 and 203KRR2 are the same bearing. Missing dimensions, ratings or installation conditions remain unknown.
What this lookup does not answer
It is not a current agricultural-machine or vehicle fitment catalogue, a price list, or a bearing stock check. It does not derive load ratings from an OEM number and does not certify a substitute.
Fafnir special-model dimensions: 203RR2 and P204RR6
An interchange number identifies a reference, not its complete geometry. These two catalogue examples show why a short inch-size description can differ from the drawing callout, and why inner-ring and outer-ring widths must stay separate.
203RR2: catalogue geometry and limits
Fafnir 203RR2 is a special radial ball-bearing reference. The 2017 drawing labels a 40 mm outside diameter, an 18.29 mm inner-ring width and a 12 mm outer-ring width. The two ring widths describe different parts of the cross-section; 12 mm is not the full inner-ring width.
The feature list describes a 5/8 in machined bore, while the drawing prints bore limits of 0.63500 to 0.64000 in and a 16.26 mm callout. Keep both pieces of evidence visible: 5/8 in equals 0.625 in and must not be substituted for the drawing bore. Do not derive a shaft fit from that short description.
The drawing shows contact seals protected by a steel shroud cap and an extended inner ring. The listed planter and windrower uses are examples of duty, not proof that this bearing fits a named machine, year or position.

- 5/8 in, machined bore (feature-list wording)
- Construction
- Round bore; extended inner ring; contact seals with a steel shroud cap
- Application examples
- Planter coulter attachments and windrowers (catalogue examples, not machine-specific fitment)

| Measurement | Metric callout (mm) | Lower printed limit (in) | Upper printed limit (in) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bore diameter | 16.26 | 0.63500 | 0.64000 |
| Outside diameter | 40 | 1.57435 | 1.57480 |
| Inner-ring width | 18.29 | 0.7153 | 0.7200 |
| Outer-ring width | 12 | 0.4677 | 0.4724 |
P204RR6: catalogue geometry and limits
Fafnir P204RR6 is the special round-bore bearing identified on printed page 9. Its drawing callouts are 19.06 mm bore, 45.22 mm outside diameter and 15.49 mm ring width; the paired inch limits are shown separately below.
The feature list describes a 3/4 in ground bore and molded single-lip seals, with mower spindles as a typical application. Retain the initial P and the complete RR6 marking when reading an interchange entry. A different prefix or an added service suffix requires its own evidence.
The short metric callouts are rounded catalogue labels. They are not a newly calculated tolerance range, and the mower-spindle example does not approve a particular mower or spindle assembly.

Using this historical reference safely
The inch columns retain the two limits printed in the dated drawing, ordered lower to upper. Metric callouts are reproduced at the catalogue's precision and are not recalculated from those limits.
These excerpts do not provide a current certified drawing, fits, speed limits, load ratings, grease specification or a machine installation procedure. Do not infer a missing value from the base number or another variant.
203RR2, BB203RR2, 203RR3 and 203KRR2 must not be collapsed into a single designation. Likewise, P204RR6 and a marking carrying E8728 require separate checks.

What to check
Search without inventing an alias
Try the complete marking and the known manufacturer designation. This site does not claim a verified OEM-to-bearing conversion where that mapping has not been loaded.
Check present brand coverage
The brand choices report actual loaded counts. A brand with no products is not represented by products copied from another brand.
Record what is still missing
For an unsupported OEM code, retain the machine model, drawing and original component number. A nearest-size candidate is not an approved OEM replacement.
Continue with real catalogue data
Preserve the full model, source description and unknown fields when making your shortlist. This reference website does not sell bearings or certify a replacement.
