Bearing Life Calculator
Estimate L10 life from dynamic load rating, equivalent bearing load and rotational speed—directly in the browser.
Calculate from actual operating data
Example values are preloaded. Replace them with the dynamic load rating and operating conditions for the bearing being evaluated. All load values must use the same unit.

What the result means
The ISO 281 basic rating life is a statistical fatigue-life estimate. L10 is the life that 90% of a sufficiently large group of apparently identical bearings can be expected to attain or exceed under identical conditions.
L10 is expressed in millions of revolutions. The exponent p is 3 for ball bearings and 10/3 for roller bearings.
Constant rotational speed converts rating life from revolutions to operating hours.
Lubrication, contamination, temperature, mounting, alignment, minimum load, shock and material condition can materially change actual life.
Three values must come from the right source
- 01Dynamic rating C
Use the basic dynamic load rating for the exact bearing designation and manufacturer.
- 02Equivalent load P
Use the catalogue-specific X, Y and limiting e values when radial and axial loads are combined.
- 03Operating speed n
Use the actual steady operating speed. Variable duty cycles require a duty-weighted calculation.
